How To Add Artwork & Metadata To Mp3 Files & Mp4 Files etc.
If you're like me and have a huge collection of music or movies stored on your PC, it can look tend a look a little boring time after time without any artwork. Today I'm going to show you how to add artwork and other information to .mp3 files, .mp4 files and more, easily and efficiently.
Please note that I am running a Windows 7 64-bit operating system, and the program/applications within this article may be limited to Windows 7.

The first step is to download the application needed to add the artwork. This application is called 'Mp3tag' and is one of the best metadata programs in my opinion, due to it's wide variety of data inputs and it's quick data saving. To download the application, click the button below the image.
Once you've got the software, you need to find some music or a movie along with some artwork. In this case, I will choose a movie called '10 Years' which is a .mp4 file - I also found a cover on the internet which I downloaded.
Please note - It is also recommended that you create a folder to store all your covers and artwork to keep things organised.
Once we've found the image, along with your choice of file - We can simply drag and drop the file into the Mp3tag dialogue. You can then highlight the file, and enter information such as title, year, genre etc. Scrolling down will also lead to other optional inputs along with the artwork entry.
Simply drag and drop the image into the square box at the bottom left of the program. As you can see below, the artwork will then appear.
Once you're happy with everything, including the data and artwork, simply click on the save button found just below the menu (floppy disk icon) - This will then take a few seconds depending on the file type. Once the file has saved that's it! You have added artwork to your movie/music file.
